Hero Bot Con a Huge Success!!!!

WE had a great time today at Hero Bot. The crowd was great. We hung with the members of The 501st Legion's Garrison Excelsior . Those Star Wars guys are awesome! We even got our first recruit. 
WE had one mishap with Stay Puft but its all good for now.. We think.

Two Days til Hero Bot

Two Days til Hero Bot Con. The equipment is being checked, the checklist are being double checked, the candy is bought and ready to go. Stay Puft is getting antsy to see everyone. Its going to be a busy and fun filled day.

Their is a new book out called the New York Grimpendium the author runs a blog called OTIS which stands for Odd Things I've Seen. River Road Expo Success!!

The official Debut of the Twin Tiers Ghostbusters at River Road Expo was a huge success  Over 500 people walked through the door. We had the first table you saw as you entered the room. We had the perfect table location we were located next to the restrooms, ATM, lotto machines, the Subway restaurant  the sports bar and most important of all a trash can! Who couldn't ask for a better location? We had the prime real estate of  the day.
We enjoyed meeting everyone who stopped by the table. Handed out plenty of our shiny new business cards, took pictures,and gave candy to several zombies that were roaming the room.Zombies love Dum dums and tootsie rolls for future reference.
The costume contest was tough but our own GB Stacie came in third. Stay Puft sadly lost and has been on a rampage ever since.. He was last seen stomping on a few  random buildings.
We walked away tired and sore but we had a great time meeting everyone and look forward to more events in the future.
Overall it was a great group debut and we are looking forward to our next event Hero Bot Con in Elmira on the 27th. We look forward to seeing you there.

We're Getting Ready

Saturday is our first official group debut at River Road Expo. We are so excited to be guest! We've got our banner and business cards ready. So we hope to see you Saturday at Tioga Downs Casino from 11 am to 6pm. FREE FREE FREE Admission! Can't beat the deal..

They've Arrived.. Arrived!

Yesterday the brand spanking fresh off the printer banner and business cards arrived and they look amazing. They'll be making their rounds at River Road Expo next week and Herobot Con on the 27th. Our fall is starting to take shape. We have two events in October and both are going to be awesome!

 First up is River Road Expo at Tioga Downs Casino on October 6th. This event will be our debut event. Admission is free and we will have candy!!!! There's a costume parade/contest and more.  So stop by,say hi, and get some candy.

It's Official!!!

It's official we will be at Hero Bot Con in Elmira October 27th. So come stop by and say hi! After the con we are having what we are calling our Last of the petty cash run to Denny's. Yes,some of us will be in our uniforms at Denny's. Our resident Stay Puft will be at the con as well.

Rainy Day Activity

Here in the Twin Tiers its a rainy, overcast,cloudy,and stormy day.So if you are hanging around looking for something to do why not check out some of the old Ghostbusters comic books and take a read. 1989 Ghostbusters TV Broadcast

If you happen to have a couple of hours to kill and want to take a trip down memory lane or experience this for the first time may I recommend a video for you. Spook central has the thing for you. Three years ago there was a special viewing of the 1989 broadcast on ABC of Ghostbusters. It includes all the old school commercials fun,editing, and more. SO if you've got some time to kill I highly recommend you check it out. There is also a transcript of the fun that was had in the chatroom. Even if you've seen the movie a ton of times its worth taking the time to check out.

Tobin's Spirit Guide Prop

Our own GB Stacie recently finished her own Tobin's Spirit Guide prop. It is blank on the inside(for now). It looks amazing from the pictures. It will be one of the props on display at Hero Bot Con in October. She has plans to make more in the future. Check it out below.

We Got One!!

 Our own logo.GB Stacie finally put the finishing touches on our logo. It took a lot of hard work on her part but  its finally done. And we can't be any more happier about how well it turned out.

The logo is the no ghost blowing glass, this area has a rich history with the glass industry and we thought this would make a unique franchise logo that represents the Twin Tiers.

Group Updates

Just a few updates of what's going on with the Twin Tiers Ghostbusters:

First off it looks like it's going to be hard for us to have a meet up with potential members before the busy Fall events season. We do invite you to keep track of what we're up to and stop by and meet us at an event.

In the next few days we'll be debuting our group logo. It's going to be awesome.

We are always looking for new members. Feel free to contact us for more information.
 You do not need to have a uniform or prop to join. If you have a Ghostbusters Shirt that's fine and a great start. We are willing to work with anyone who wants to put together their own uniform and equipment.

We are working hard on some events that we have yet to announce so stay tuned for the details.

GB Stacie is working hard on finishing her newest proton pack pictures and more will be up as soon as she's finished. SO far it looks amazing.

GB Stacie has made us our own set of slime jars. They look  absolutely slimy. They'll make their debut at Hero Bot Con in October.

Boredom Buster

If you are bored and/or have some time to kill check out this virtual Real Ghostbusters Colorform set and have fun. It's also a great flashback to that childhood memory of peeling those little vinyl guys off the sheet and placing them on the cardboard backdrop and creating the weirdest scenes possible. Happy Fourth Of July!

All of us at Twin Tiers Ghostbusters want to wish you a Happy and Safe Fourth of July!!

Congratulations!

Congratulations to our own Ghostbuster Stacie who on Saturday June 30th met Dan Aykroyd at a Crystal Head Signing in Amherst NY.
Stacie reports that Dan was super nice and gives hugs. Stacie says at first she was scared  and shaking so bad. But who wouldn't when you're meeting someone like Dan Aykroyd.  Dan came out and yelled "There's my Ghostbusters!"
  She  reports that he was excited to see his Ghostbusters and took photos with the group. She also met the Rochester and Buffalo Ghostbuster Franchises as well. From the sounds of it they all had a great time.
We look forward to working with them in the future.
In the future we hope to as a group to have the opportunity to meet Dan in person and see for ourselves how awesome he is and of course take lots of photos.

Informational Meeting*Update*

We are currently trying to put together a meet up so that we can get to know those that are interested plus share what things we are working on for the future. Right now we are thinking early July  August since we have a member that will be out of town for a few weeks and we want to meet and work on things before the rush of events in the Fall. We're still working on finalizing the details. They will be posted as soon as their finalized. SO if you're interested in more info about the meeting or want info on the group feel free to contact us.

Hello and Welcome you have found the Twin Tiers Ghostbusters. We were founded in April 2012 by two fans with a passion for the movie Ghostbusters. We are looking forward to helping various charities while sharing our passion.

 We are looking for more like minded individuals to join our ranks. We are also looking for events to attend. If you are interested please contact us for more information using the form.
